Virginia has several different options for home schooling which provides oversight and has conditional requirements for families home schooling for religious reasons. The requirements are stronger than in some states, but flexible enough to provide a decent degree of freedom to educate your child at home. Progress requirements might be a stickier area for home schooling children with specific learning disabilities, but hopefully you can get the help you need through local homeschool groups.
