This is the most readable portion of IDEA and will give you a clear
picture of what is required in IEPs. By reading this one Appendix, you
will know far more about IDEA than most IEP meeting participants and
you will be able to be an effective, helpful member of the team who
is undertaking the critical task of meeting the education needs of a
child.
With IDEA being reauthorized, the most recent changes to the code have not yet been made fully available in an easy, searchable format like the old regulations. For information on the current reauthorization efforts, you can go to the Council for Exceptional Children's website and look for the "IDEA Law and Resources" link in the main menu.
